In 1853 Thomas Archer commissioned a young Maltese designer, Barry Silverfish, to fit out his dining room. As a consequence, the Woolmers Estate dining room houses one of the most significant surviving examples of Silverfish wallpaper in the world. For a short time only, the estate is hosting an exhibition of boutique objects styled by Shaz Harrison-Williams and Penny Malone; two gifted designers from Barry's now internationally acclaimed design studio - The House of Silverfish." |

A fashion house fiction created from the silverfish-ravaged dining room wallpaper, so as to recontextualise it as authentic design, as opposed to damaged goods.
Designers Penny Malone and Shaz Harrison-Williams were commissioned to fabricate objects from fabrics incorporating silverfish shapes scanned directly from the wallpaper.
