Students from various schools across the state were asked to draw the floor spaces of their home interiors in and around the furniture. These diagrams were then translated and cut out of carpets, producing a series of rugs (placemats). Each student then took a series of mats - source from the homes of other students from other suburbs - to their place, and documented the encounter.*

The experience that I had with taking home someone else’s room, which I had to compare with my own house, was uncanny… Also the fact that our house was sent to strangers alarmed me a bit." |

The challenge of exchanging room plans with strangers was exciting yet confronting. I enjoyed the interaction with unknown accomplices." |
